'The New Instrument Of War' is the third full length album by Brussels-based electronica artist Twisted Buddha, who also plays in Sleepy Alkaloid and it's various spinoffs / side-projects.

Trading in that typical Twisted Buddha style for a full-on ambient drone experience while retaining his signature sound, Twisted Buddha has once again succeeded in reinventing himself, challenging the listener to accompany him on a weird and psychedelic journey through the darker and most disorienting, anxiety-inducing corners of the mind.

However, as Leonard Cohen already pointed out so poignantly: "there is a crack in everything - that's how the light gets in"; and hence, the listener encounters fleeting glimmers of light and love seeping through the darkness until both forces finally dissolve into one another, leaving nothing but a blank yet warm sensation of ego-less bliss and bewonderment...

His most daring and experimental release up to date, this record takes Twisted Buddha's sonic wizardry to a whole new level of dissociative wickedness which might at first perturb the listener, but which eventually translates into a world of daze and wonder - both disquieting and soothing, mesmerizing and soporific at the same time - one can only be enchanted by...
